International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every 12 May to
celebrate the Legacy of the Nursing Profession and to commemorate the birth of
the Lady with the Lamp, the founder of the Quality Humane Nursing Care,
Florence Nightingale who was born on 12 May 1820 and died on 13 August
1910.
The MEC for the Department of Health and Social Development in Limpopo
Seaparo Sekoati invites all members of the media to join him as he will be
addressing all the Nurses Professionals of the department under the theme
"Positive practice environment quality workplace equals to quality patient
care" at the following arrangements:

The department intends to take this opportunity during the engagement with
Nurses Professionals to revive, rededicate the Commitment to the Nursing Care
Services. Enhancing of Professional Excellence remains a critical part in
realising the commitment and quality of Nursing Care Services hence the
department continues to strengthen the mutual trust and sound relation between
Organised Labour representing nurses and the Department of Health and Social
Development.
