KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed his condolences on the
passing away of the Mayor of Umzumbe Local Municipality on the KwaZulu-Natal
South Coast, Councillor Mfundo Lushaba, who was killed in a car crash this

"On behalf of the government and people of KwaZulu-Natal, I want to express
our condolences to Councillor Lushaba's family, friends and colleagues on the
sad loss of a selfless community leader and elected official of our people.
Lushaba conducted his work with exemplary humility, commitment and dedication
in line with our commitment to the Citizen's Charter which places our people
first and holds elected leaders accountable. He will be sadly missed, but we
