KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sibusiso Ndebele, together with Members of his
Cabinet, has expressed shock to news of the tragic and sudden death of Inkosi
Simon Hulumeni Gumede in a motor vehicle collision this morning.
A member of the Inkatha Freedom Party, Inkosi SH Gumede served as a member
of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature and played a major role in bilateral meetings
to establish peace in the province.
On behalf of the government and people of KwaZulu-Natal we would like to
extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Inkosi Gumede's family, his
many friends and colleagues and the Inkatha Freedom Party which he represented
in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature.
