25 July 2007

Premier Sello Moloto joined the people of the province in wishing Polokwane
well as it turns 121 this year. The Premier said that, "Polokwane was a growing
city whose activities count for economic development in the province and the
entire sub-continent."

He went on to thank the business community and all residents of the city for
the role they continue to play in building the capital. Polokwane has become
the logistic capital of Limpopo and the "Heartland of the southern Africa
region," largely because of your efforts.

Our capital Polokwane is living up to its name of being the true "place of
safety," because of your endeavours. We are proud of the achievements which the
city has made throughout this period, particularly with regard to the challenge
of bettering the quality of lives of our people.

"As a fitting tribute to the role which the city continue playing, there can
be no better way of celebrating all of our achievements, than through hosting a
successful Fifa Soccer World Cup event by 2010," Premier Moloto concluded.
