Thohoyandou, Limpopo province

24 March 2009

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Ms Rejoice

objectives of the National Waste Management Strategy, especially changing
public perceptions and attitudes through awareness raising and education on
waste management and related issues.

Cleaning-up the environment not only creates a more pleasant place to live,
but also creates a good impression on prospective employers, investors,
professionals, and tourists who may visit our areas.

It is expected that close to 500 people will partake in this campaign
including representatives from the business sector, non-governmental
