The office of the Deputy President will tomorrow, Thursday, 19 March 2009
convene a 2010 Inter-ministerial Committee Meeting.
2010 Inter-ministerial meetings are generally called to update all
stakeholders on the progress of the 2010 Soccer World Cup preparations and the
state of readiness for the Confederations Cup.
Tomorrowâs meeting will receive presentations by the Local Organising
Committee (LOC), host cities and preparations for the opening and closing
ceremony. Other issues to be dealt with are transport plans, safety and
security, health issues and disaster management plans.
