Pierre Uys, Minister for Local Government, Environmental Affairs and
Development Planning, invites all media to a briefing tomorrow, Wednesday, 11
March 2009, on numerous infrastructure projects in progress.
Following this visit to a few selected construction projects will be
conducted, allowing for photographic opportunities.
Minister has approved the registration of several multi-million rand
projects as part of the Municipal Infrastructure Grant investment throughout
the province of the Western Cape.
The Municipal Infrastructure Grant is a conditional grant that supports
municipalities with their capital budget and their Integrated Development Plans
(IDP) to fund infrastructure, primarily benefiting poor households.

Time: 11h00 to 11h30 followed by bus tour to some selected projects
