Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka to pay a visit to
Emmanuel Haven Wellness Centre and Coega Plant

Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will on Friday, 30 November 2007 pay
a visit to the Emmanuel Haven Wellness Centre in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth. On
the eve of World AIDS Day, this visit comes within the context of government's
efforts to strengthen the fight against HIV and AIDS in partnership with
communities.

Emmanuel Haven Wellness Centre also has a hydroponics project that grows
vegetables under aggressive and unfavourable climatic conditions, producing
high yields for financial and nutritional gain for those community members
affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.

Part of the Deputy President's visit to Port Elizabeth will also entail a
meeting with the CEO of the Coega Development Corporation, Pepi Silinga as part
of Joint Initiative on Priority Skills Acquisition (Jipsa) and Accelerated and
Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa (AsgiSA) initiatives.
