Seoul, South Korea: The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa
(RSA) Ms Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka has today, 2 May 2007, arrived in South Korea
for a two-day official visit from Wednesday, 2 May 2007 to Friday, 4 May
2007.
Deputy President Mlambo-Ngcuka is accompanied by Minister Ivy
Matsepe-Casaburri; Deputy Ministers Aziz Pahad, Derek Hanekom, Gert Oosthuizen,
Rob Davies and a business delegation. The visit comes within the context of
national efforts to ensure a faster and shared economic growth through
Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative of South Africa (AsgiSA) and Joint
Initiative for Priority Skills Acquisition (JIPSA).
Accordingly, the visit will focus on the promotion of the AsgiSA and is also
aimed at obtaining institutional support for the JIPSA, especially in
Information Communication Technology (ICT). She will also strengthen relations
with the signing of three agreements.
