A senior official working for the Office of the North West Premier Edna
Molewa is expected to appear in the magistrate court on Monday on charges of
over speeding and intimidation. She has been charged for driving at 169
kilometres an hour on a 120 kilometres zone between Lichtenburg and Koster road
this afternoon. After being caught breaking the law she allegedly intimidated
Jaws traffic officers citing that she was on her duty attending to matters
concerning the Premier.
She also allegedly refused to provide Jaws with her residential and business
addresses to be included on the speed fine. A case of intimidation and failing
to furnish the addresses has been opened.
