appoints Head of Communication

The North West Department of Developmental Local Government and Housing has
recently appointed its new Head of Communication who will also serve as the
spokesperson for both the department and MEC Howard Yawa.
Sifiso Moshoetsi takes over the position of Head of Communication from
Lesiba Kgwele who has been acting in that position which was left vacant when
the former spokesperson Mandla Mathebula was transferred to the North West
Department of Transport, Roads and Community Safety in June 2007.
Prior to this appointment, Moshoetsi was working as a speechwriter and
researcher at The Presidency since 2004. In 2002, he was an editor at the South
African Bureau of Standards (SABS), in the Standard Development Support. He has
also worked as a junior lecturer at the University of Natal's English
Department between 2001 and 2002.
On welcoming Moshoetsi to his new position, Yawa said "he has the relevant
qualifications and much needed experience in the communication discipline and I
am therefore confident that he will definitely take the department's
communication with all stakeholders, to greater heights."
