The North West Provincial Legislature will be holding its fourth annual
People's Assembly at the University of the North West Great Hall on Wednesday,
19 September 2007, at 08h00. More than 5 000 people from all four districts of
the province will be attending the event. The event will be broadcast live on
national television.
The theme of this year's People's Assembly is Masijule Ngengxoxo Mzansi,
which means 'Let us deepen the debate South Africa.' It will be tackling a wide
range of issues such as eradication of poverty and hunger, combating HIV and
AIDS, malaria and other diseases and ensuring environmental sustainability.
