In the application for the Mauritian documents in the matter of the State vs
Jacob Zuma and Thint.
The NPA today welcomed the Judge's decision to issue the letter of request
to the Mauritian authorities requesting them to provide the NPA with the
originals of the documents seized during the search and seizure operation in
2001.
We are pleased that the Judge has cleared the way for us to finalise this
part of the investigation and will do so as soon as possible.
In addition to this we are pleased that the judge confirmed the original
letter of request to the Mauritian documents, was prima facie, lawful and
properly made.
