Gauteng MEC for Housing, Nomvula Mokonyane, in partnership with the
Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, will tomorrow, 12 September 2007 hand
over houses to pensioners in Eden Park Extension 5, Ekurhuleni.
Among the beneficiaries is 90-year old Katrina Wilhelmina Matthys who has
never owned a house before. The beneficiaries, whose ages range between 71 and
90 years old, will be presented with their first-ever homes. This is aimed at
providing the elderly with proper houses as well as restoring their
dignity.
