The MEC for Health, Nomsa Jajula, will be part of the fourth People's
Assembly from 16 to 19 September 2007 in honour of the legendary OR Tambo, the
son of the Eastern Cape soil.
The Assembly will be hosted by the OR Tambo District Municipality in Mbizana
where about 490 Members of Parliament from Cape Town are expected to descend in
our province to discuss with ordinary people important issues around the
Millennium Development Plan.
The People's Assembly will for the first time run for four days where visits
to public facilities such as clinics and police stations will take place to
check on service delivery.
The public will also get a chance to interact and engage with the Members of
Parliament sharing their success stories and also to raise concerns on service
delivery in that area.
