The Mpumalanga Department of Education extend its profound condolences to
the families of the three learners from Zakheni Secondary School in KwaMhlanga
Circuit who drowned in a nearby river (about 4 km) while trying to cross it
afternoon on 23 February 2009.
According to the information at our disposal is that the continuous downpour
that lasted the whole day yesterday caused the river to overflow leading to
this unfortunate development.
The following are the names of the learners who passed on:
* Christina Mahlangu â 15 years old in grade 8
* Mandla Mazibuko â 17 years old in grade 8
* Abednigo Mogoshane â 17 years old in grade 9 still missing.
Information on memorial and funeral services will be communicated as soon as
it is made available.
