Farmers' Day

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Environmental Affairs Mtholephi
Mthimkhulu, MPL, will be addressing the KwaMbonambi Farmers' Day on Tuesday, 3
July 2007.
The MEC's address will be focusing on the Department's programme for this
financial year 2007/08, particularly on the assistance that will be given to
farmers particularly communal farmers in the following areas:
* veld management
* dip tank rehabilitation
* development of agricultural co-operatives to ensure that there is food
security
* development of agricultural commodities with the intention so that they are
export-driven
* development of livestock associations in communal areas.
