The Director-General of Transport, Ms Mpumi Mpofu will on behalf of the
Honourable Minister of Transport Mr Jeff Radebe, MP, officially hand over 10
seatbelt convincers to nine provinces and the QuadPara Association of South
Africa during "Project DAD" at Kyalami.
"Project DAD" is a Department of Transport Arrive Alive and Pick 'n Pay
project which is a road safety initiative that evaluates the effects of a
driver who is under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
The following road safety tests will be conducted during this event:
* driving accuracy
* fatigue and driving
* safe towing
* cellphone and driving
* seatbelt safety
* medication and driving.
"Project DAD" will take place as follows:
