There shall be houses, security and comfort!
This Freedom Charter declaration will be sealed as reality for about 15 000
Free State citizens as they receive their title deeds in assurance of their
security of tenure.
The MEC for Local Government and Housing, Mr MJ Mafereka, in the company of
various government stakeholders and contractors in the housing value chain,
will hand over these title deeds at various events as detailed below.

The department has, in the last five years built over 70 000 houses and
added value to the economy while providing human development through job
creation and skills development to numerous previously disadvantaged men and
women. Through housing, the department provides shelter and sustainability to
families who would have otherwise not been able to afford homes for
themselves.
