The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Mr Malusi Gigaba will tomorrow interact
and engage interns and National Youth Service participants who are currently
contracted to the department in a form of a workshop.
The aim of the workshop will be to evaluate and assess the success and
impact of the internship and NYS programme. A total number of 374 national
youth participants were recruited, trained and placed in all Home Affairs
offices for a period of twelve months to manage and co-ordinate their
participation.
Among other things that this workshop seeks to achieve will be to establish
an effective system for continuous development of qualified, skilled and
enhanced youth employability particularly to young women.
