The Acting Chief Land Claims Commissioner, Mr Blessing Mphela together with
the Regional Land Claims Commission for Free State and Northern Cape, Mr Sidney
Hlongwane cordially invite members of the media to a media briefing session to
be held on 24 April 2009 at the Willow Lake Protea Hotel in Bloemfontein. The
press conference will start from 11h00 until 12h00.
Among other issues, the media briefing session will focus on the progress
made with the finalisation of outstanding land claims in the province as well
as across the country. Members of the media will be briefed about the
commission's plans for settling outstanding claims given the state's budgetary
constraints as a result of the current global economic meltdown.
