Wathinta bafazi, Wathinti mbokodo!!!
Wathinti mbokodo,Wathinta bafazi!!
Namhlanje ndizivela ndimncinci kakhulu, kulento ndiyenzelwe yi O R Tambo
namazwi amakhulu abalulekileyo athethwe kule ndawo. Ndikhuthazwa kakhulu
ngakumbi yile Award for the Best Female Sheep and Crop Farmer.
Enye yezinto ezikwi priority list yam kweli sebe lezilimo kukusekwa kwe
Womens Agriculture and Rural Development Association (WARDA). Injingo kukuthi
le WARDa ibe ne Provincial Chapters ezizakuthi zibone kwi District ne District
ukuba:
* oMama bathatha inxaxheba ephambili kwezolimo, kwi production, value adding
processing, marketing and business development.
* Youth and people with disability are enabled to participate in local economic
development. This involves providing facilities and funding for their projects
and programmes.
* Rural communities are organised to work in groups or co-operatives so that
they can enjoy associated benefits such as bulk buying discounts, co-ordinated
marketing etc.
* Practical focused sustainable projects and programmes that improve the
quality of life of our rural communities. This must lead to job creation and
poverty alleviation. We must stop the wholesale urban migration because there
are no jobs in the urban centres. Evidence of this is the growing squatters in
our towns, where our people remain unemployed and very poor. In Pretoria and
Johannesburg we have seen a growing number of people who are sleeping in the
streets, because they cannot afford rent, even in the shantytowns. Such people
must come back to the rural areas.
* WARDa must be a mass movement that galvanises our rural people for
socio-economic freedom. We have earned our political freedom but we must still
work even harder to get the economic freedom for all of our people.
* WARDa must be a vehicle for socio-economic empowerment, capacity building,
training and equipping of our people.
Namhlanje ndivuyiswa kukubona imbewu yendlela eyondeleleyo yokusebenza
kwabafazi. Ndivuyiswa yi recognition yokubaluleka kwenxaxheba yomama, kwizinto
zolimo nakwintlalo jikelele.
Enye ye priorities zam kukujonga indaba ye Agricultural Development
Corridor, ekufuneka isebenzisane neProvincial Growth Development Plan, kunye ne
IDPs ne Local Economic Development eqhutywa ngoMaspala. Ngokwale Agricultural
Corridor Development plan sibona amathuba we eco-tourism development along our
coast, along N2. These opportunities must benefit our local people.
The 2010 World Cup is definitely coming and the Mthatha stadium must be
ready for this! The other small Stadiums like Rotary in Ngangelizwe must be
ready and available for preparatory training. Local soccer teams must show
their colours. We want to see at least two soccer players from this region in
the Bafana-Bafana squad.
By 2010 we must see more Bed and Breakfast establishments and hotels that
serve traditional dishes. Tourists want umngqusho, isigwampa, ulusu, umleqwa,
amarhewu, umqombothi. Asinawukwazi uku compete nabantu abasuka ngaphandle nge
pudding, nge rice. Into esikwazi ukuyenza ngcono yile sikhule ngayo. Ne
tourists zifuna ukwazi amasiko nezithethe zethu. Bafuna ukwazi intlalo yase
Africa. Kufuneka ke siphucule indlela esibonisa ngayo lo ntlalo. Kufuneka
siqingqe indlela emasibahlawulise ngayo xa bebona inkcubeko yethu. The tourism
industry must help us to structure, package and price our cultural products. We
must do this before the end of next year so that we are able to test, promote
and improve our products. These products must vary from accommodation
(ongquphantsi rondavel cultural village), entertainment (ipotsoyi, umxhentso,
stick-fighting, umdyarho wamahashi, hunting) transport (donkey carts, horse
riding, âwalkingâ, hiking,) cultural events (ukuthombisa, umgidi, ukutheza,)
etc.
We are endowed with wonderful natural resources in this province, especially
along the N2. We support the development of the N2 from Mthatha, via Port St
Johns to Port Edward, to Port Shepstone.
URhulumente okhokelwa yi-ANC uzimisele ukwenza ubomi babantu bubengcono.
Kwelam icala ndizimisele ukujonga zonke izinto ezinokwenza nomhlaba, nokuxhasa
imveliso yolimo. Ndiyayazi ukuba kukho amabango emihlaba kule mihlaba ingqonge
UMthatha. IKumkani yabaThembu uBuyelekhaya kunye nabanye bafaka amabango
omhlaba eNkululekweni, eZimbane, eMount Pleasant, kumahlaba we Tracor Training
centre no ECATU, eHighbury njalo-njalo. I-Ofisi yam elapha eMthatha indixelele
ukuba kuninzi ukukhetshulwa komhlaba okungekho mthethweni okuqhubekayo kule
ngingqi. Ndive nokuba kukho abantu abade bathengise umhlaba kaRhulumente
bewuthengisela abanye abantu abahluphekileyo. Honourable MEC, kuzakufuneka
siyijonge siyithethe lento, kuba ndifumanisa ukuba kukho amagosa karhulumente
athatha inxaxheba kucando lwalo manxiwa angekho mthethweni. AsingoRhulumente
kavula zibhuqe lo. UMaspala weKing Sabata Dalindyebo ne ORTambo ndiyabacela
ukuba baqinise umthetha wendlela amabasebenzisane nesebe lam leLand Affairs
ukwenzela ukuba sibuyisele isidima solawulo mhlaba kule ndawo yethu.
We clearly have a lot of congestion around Mthatha and thus a serious
problem of pressure on the land. We need to think out of the Transkei homeland
box. Those who really want to farm must consider seriously moving away from
Mthatha to more spacious farmland in Ugie, Elliot, Dordrecht, Middelburg even
to the Western Cape. Our land reform products enable our people to acquire land
wherever they want in South Africa. Bantustans are dead forever.
Elokugqiba mandenze owona mkhulu umbulelo kuMama uCapa ngenxa yokucinga
ngokwenza lo mbulelo, nokuvuyisana nam kuba uMmengamali etyumbe mna ukuba ndibe
nguMphathiswa wezoLimo noMhlaba. Ndinikwe uxanduva lokunikezela umhlaba oyi 30
percent by 2014 nokuba onke amabango emihlaba abe ephelile ngo 2008. When we
are âputting land in the right handsâ, in our efforts to correct the imbalances
of the past kuzakufuneka ndiwohluthe umhlaba kwabo basilibazisayo. We canât
delay any longer.
Ndiyawukwenza konke okusemandleni ukuba ndinganidanisi njengomama
nanjengabantu basekhaya. Impumelelo yam ixhomekeke kwinkxaso endiyifumanayo
kuni kuzo zonke ezinto zibalulekileyo kwintlalo yabantu bethu.
Kwaba Mama bafumene ezi Awards namhlanje, masisithathe esi sibane
sikhanyisele uninzi lwabantu bethu.
Ndininqwenelela impumelelo kuzo zonke inzame zenu.
Kwelam icala, Nangamso!!!!
Amandla !!! Umhlaba !!!! Lo Mhlaba !!!
Phambili ngophuhliso Phambili!!
Phambili ngomsebenzi woMama Phambili !!
