All systems go for the second Provincial 2010 Indaba

The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Sibusiso Ndebele, has today, 4 November
2007 announced that it is all systems go for the province's second Provincial
2010 Indaba, to be held at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention
Centre (ICC) on 7 to 8 November 2007.

The Indaba will be attended by about 400 delegates from the public and
private sectors, who will receive feedback on the national and provincial state
of readiness to host the 2010 Football World Cup (FWC) as well as deliberate on
the 2010 business opportunities in the province.

"The 2010 Indaba is a crucially important platform for us to ensure that all
spheres of government in KwaZulu-Natal work as one team as we prepare to host
the 2010 Football World Cup. We have dedicated the first day of Indaba to
outlining government's 2010 programmes and ensure that there is synergy across
all provincial government departments, the host city and municipalities," said
Premier Ndebele.

"Understanding the significant role played by the business sector in
positioning KwaZulu-Natal to host the world in 2010, the second day will focus
on the role of the business sector and business opportunities from the 2010
FWC, while sharing information on the Federation for International Football
Association (Fifa) regulatory environment," he added.

An upbeat Premier Ndebele pointed to the fact that Indaba was being held
just weeks before KwaZulu-Natal rolls out the red carpet to welcome the world
for the Fifa Preliminary Draw to be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli
International Convention Centre (ICC) on 25 November 2007.

Said Premier Ndebele: "KwaZulu-Natal is proud to play host to the first
official 2010 FWC event, which will see a projected 3 000 delegates come to our
shores from 204 countries. We will use Indaba to further encourage stakeholders
to go all out to ensure that the preliminary draw delegates and the millions of
viewers around the world who will watch the preliminary draw from their
television screens have a lasting positive impression of the host province".
Detailed information on the preliminary draw will be shared at Indaba.

Among the speakers on the first day of Indaba are a representative from the
Local Organising Committee (LOC), who will give an update on the national state
of readiness; the Director-General of KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Kwazi Mbanjwa, who will
outline the province's state of readiness; and a match representative who will
make a presentation on Fifa's ticketing and hospitality plans.

Day two will see presentations by, among others, officials from the Fifa
commercial affiliates namely, First National Bank (FNB); Coca Cola and Mobile
Telephone Network (MTN, who will outline their programmes and business
opportunities to be derived from these.

The premier further encouraged businesses interested to attend the Indaba
