Ahead of the 2010 Federation of International Football Associations (Fifa)
World Cup Preliminary Draw taking place in Durban this Sunday, 25 November
2007, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government is currently implementing a
provincial programme of action which includes soccer clinics for children at
various areas around the province.
Two hundred children from the Amajuba District in northern KwaZulu-Natal
underwent training on Tuesday, 20 November 2007. Today, 21 November 2007, 200
children from the uThungulu District of KwaZulu-Natal are being trained.
Tomorrow, 22 November 2007) training will take place in the Umgungundlovu
District.
Members of the media are invited to attend the soccer clinic taking place
tomorrow, 22 November 2007, in the Umgungundlovu District. The details are as
follows:
Event: Soccer Training for 200 children from the Umgungundlovu
District
Date: Thursday, 22 November 2007
Time: 12h30 to 15h30.
Venue: Harry Gwala Stadium, Pietermaritzburg
Representatives from the Office of the Premier as well as Local Organising
Committee officials, soccer ambassadors and officials from the KwaZulu-Natal
Departments of Sport and Recreation and Education will also be present.
