Basic Education and Training (ABET) examination results

The examination results of the 2007 matric candidates and the results of
Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) candidates will be released by
KwaZulu-Natal Education MEC Ina Cronjé at 9h00 on 28 December 2007 at the Royal
Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg.
At 08h00 the head of the department, Dr Cassius Lubisi, will take the media
through a technical briefing to explain and lift out certain trends that were
picked up during the examinations. A workroom, equipped with a telephone, a
printer and a fax machine, will be made available for the media. Although a
laptop computer will be available, it is advisable to bring your own to prevent
queuing.
Journalists and photographers need to apply for media accreditation, should
they wish to attend the ceremony and media conference. To apply for
accreditation the journalist or photographer must complete the accreditation
form, which is also available on the KwaZulu-Natal Education website. The
website address is http://www.kzneducation.gov.za the form
can be faxed on request.
The deadline for applying for accreditation is 21 December 2007. If the
editor of a publication or radio/television station is not able to name the
media representative yet, he or she should indicate that on the form. The
accreditation badges will be handed out at 07h45 at the gate on 28 December
2007.

Please fill the entire form. Only reporters, journalists and photographers
accredited to the release of the results ceremony will be granted access to the
Royal Showgrounds. Journalists who cannot attend but wish to receive media
documentation, should tick the appropriate box. Media representatives are
requested to present themselves at least 15 minutes before the event. They will
be asked to identify themselves by means of a press card or a corresponding ID
card with a photo.
