Chief Justice Pius Langa to address media on constitutional
matters

16 January 2009

Chief Justice Pius Langa requests your presence at a background briefing on
Constitutional matters, ahead of the inaugural World Conference on
Constitutional Justice.

The conference will bring together the Chief Justices of international
Supreme Courts which deal with Constitutional matters, issues of human rights

showcase itself as one of the leading institutions in constitutional
jurisprudence.

Over 260 senior judges from 93 countries are set to attend the inaugural
conference. Issues of mutual interest to South African courts and their
international counterparts will be discussed. These include:

* independence of the Judiciary
