to host substance abuse prevention roundtable

The Deputy Minister of Social Development, Dr Jean Swanson-Jacobs will host
a stakeholder roundtable to brief stakeholders and the media on the National
Drug Master Plan and other related programmes substance abuse prevention
programmes.
The roundtable will also seek to achieve the following:
* create a platform to brainstorm the idea of using Hip Hop to influence the
youth against drugs and substance abuse
* share knowledge and experience on Hip Hop as a means of facilitating the
prevention of substance abuse among youth
* pave the way forward for the future utilisation of other means of substance
abuse prevention (including Hip Hop Anti Drug Campaign) to complement the
department's Kemoja Youth Campaign
The roundtable will be officially opened at 9h30 on the 22nd, and ends on
the 23rd of October.
