weighbridge, a first of its kind in South Africa

In order for the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) to
fulfil its obligation in terms of asset preservation and road safety, the
Donkerhoek Traffic Control Centre (DTCC) was built. The current site housed
only a weighbridge.
On Friday, 8 June 2007, Minister Jeff Radebe, MP will officially open the
revamped DTCC. The new DTCC boast a modern and technologically advanced
facility, which incorporates a number of innovative features such as a vehicle
testing facility as well as the electronic tagging system, which is the first
of its kind at a weighbridge in South Africa.
The Minister of Transport, Jeff Radebe, MP cordially invites you to the
official opening of the Donkerhoek Weighbridge.
