J Radebe to launch Grand-Pa Safer Taxis Campaign during Transport Month,

Transport Minister Jeff Radebe will launch the 2007 Grand-Pa Safer Taxis
Campaign in Kempton Park, Johannesburg tomorrow afternoon. The Grand-Pa Safer
Taxis Campaign in association with Arrive Alive is a road safety initiative
aimed at making taxis safer for thousands of commuters who use taxis
everyday.

Venue: Emperors Palace, 64 Jones Road, Kempton Park, Johannesburg

The Campaign is important in view of the Taxi Recapitalisation Programme,
which aims to replace 80 percent of old taxi vehicles by 2010.
