Cape Town: Transport Minister Jeff Radebe will hold a Department of
Transport pre Budget Vote media briefing in Cape Town on Tuesday, 27 March
2007.

The Minister will make a groundbreaking announcement regarding the Public
Transport Strategy and Action Plan recently approved by Cabinet in preparation
for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.
This strategy maps out a framework to accelerate the urgently needed
transformation of South Africa's public transport. It aims to implement high
quality public transport networks that integrate rail, bus and minibuses to
form a single public transport system for the benefit of the public and the
economy.
Budget Vote presentation
Minister Radebe will then present the Department of Transport Budget Vote in
Parliament in the afternoon from 15h00.
