lines public hearings, 25 to 26 Oct

End to end leased lines and other wholesale markets
hearings

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) informs
interested parties of the public hearings to define end to end leased lines and
other wholesale markets. This follows the publication in May 2007 of a notice
inviting interested parties to submit written submissions on the discussion
document which forms the basis of these public hearings.

The process informs the subsequent regulation making process in the
Electronic Communications Act which requires the Authority to define markets
for the purposes of regulation.

The hearings will be held as follows:

Dates: Wednesday, 24 October and Thursday, 25 October 2007.
Time: 08h30 to 15h30
Venue: Icasa Block B, Basement area, Pinmill Farm, 164 Katherine Street,
Sandton, Gauteng
