Hearing into the renewal of Trinity Broadcasting Network's
licence

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa will hold hearings
into the renewal of the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) community
television broadcasting licence. Currently, TBN has a broadcasting and signal
distribution licence. TBN's first four-year licence was granted in 1997 in
terms of Section 47B (1) of the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act (IBA)
No. 153 of 993. The licence was renewed in 2002 and is now due for another
renewal in terms of the Electronic Communications Act 36 of 2005 (EC Act). The
station operates from Bhisho in the Eastern Cape and covers large parts of the
Eastern Cape province.

Media and members of the public are invited to attend the hearings which
will be held as follows:
