Icasa to announce successful applicants for commercial satellite and
cable TV, 12 Sept

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) will
announce successful applicants for commercial satellite and cable subscription
broadcasting licence on 12 September 2007 at 11h00. In 2006, the authority
issued an Invitation To Apply (ITA) in which it invited interested parties to
submit applications for commercial subscription broadcasting licences. The
authority received 18 applications and 2 applicants subsequently withdrew their
application. The venue for the announcement will be communicated shortly.
