Home Affairs to embark on ID distribution road show, 6 Feb

The Department of Home Affairs will embark on a provincial ID distribution
road show, tomorrow, 6 February 2009, as part of its ID collection awareness
drive.

This exercise is part of the department’s efforts to ensure that South
Africans are in possession of their IDs to enable them to register to vote
during this weekend’s final voter registration call from 7 to 8 February
2009.

Members of communities in identified provinces are encouraged to come and
collect their IDs at the following centres:

Western Cape

Gauteng

Eastern Cape
