As part of the national Imbizo Week, Public Service and Administration
Minister, Ms Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi will visit public servants in
Kwa-Ndebele (Mpumalanga) to interact with them on various challenges they are
faced with as public servants and to assess the impact that the public service
strike has had on service delivery.
The interactions which aim to influence public servants to practice Batho
Pele principles to improve service delivery will serve as part of the
post-strike reconciliation within the public service. Minister Fraser-Moleketi
will during the latter part of the day join the Community Development Workers
(CDWs) in their daily work by paying door to door visits to different members
of the community, establishing a "Partnership for growth and development."
The programme for the visits to Kwa-Ndebele, Mpumalanga will be as
follows:
Tweefontein
09h00 to 09h45: Visit to Phelwane Primary School
10h15 to 11h00: Interaction at Zidli Junior Secondary School
Vlaklaagte
11h15 to 12h00: Vlaklaagte Community Health Centre (24 hours Clinic)
Kwaggafontein
12h00 to 13h30: Meeting with Municipality Executive
13h30 to 14h15: Kwagga Police Station
14h30 to 16h30: Minister will go to work with Community Development Workers
(CDWs), paying door-to-door visits to members of the community
