The Indian Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions and
Parliamentary Affairs, Minister Suresh Pachouri, will be in South Africa from
Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 June 2006 for the formalisation of a skills exchange
partnership between the South African and Indian public services.
In a meeting scheduled for Monday 12 June 2006 in Tshwane, Public Service
and Administration Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi will sign a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with Minister Pachouri on mentorship and exchange
programmes, human resource development and training and the secondment of
public officials from the South African and Indian public sector
institutions.
While in South Africa, Minister Pachouri will also meet with the Chairperson
and Members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Service and
Administration.
All media is invited to the signing of the MoU.
