Minister Fraser-Moleketi will meet the media today at 13h00 to give a
briefing and answer questions on the discussions taking place at the African
Ministers of Public/Civil Service taking place at Emperor's Palace in Kempton
Park.
The issues being discussed include the New Partnership for Africa's
Development (NEPAD) capacity building strategy, the African Management
Development Institute, the African Innovation Awards whereby innovative
practice in the Public Service are identified and highlighted. Another
prominent item will be the development of the African Public Service
Charter.
Ministers of public service form across the continent are attending the
conference and including Dr Libertina Amathila, Deputy Prime Minister of
Namibia and Mr Henry Muganwa Kajura, Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda.
Commissioner Joiner of the African Union (AU) Commission will also be at the
briefing, as well as other Ministers and officials.
