G Fraser-Moleketi to address Africa Public Service Day, 22 Jun

South Africa celebrates Africa Public Service Day

20 June 2007

As the Public Service Week comes to an end, public servants across the
country are to join in celebrations of the Africa Public Service Day (APSD) on
Friday. Celebrated across the continent on the 23rd of June, the day serves as
a platform for the public/civil service to showcase and reward good initiatives
and achievements in the public sector, equally providing an invaluable
opportunity for public servants to promote values such as professionalism,
accountability, responsiveness, ethics and performance in the delivery of
public services.

Via a satellite link, public servants across all different provinces of the
country will celebrate the day to recognise the value and virtue of service to
the community. Public Service and Administration Minister, Ms Geraldine
Fraser-Moleketi, will lead the interactions with an address on this year's
theme, "Promoting good governance with emphasis on anti-corruption and
ethics."

Date: Friday, 22 June 2007
Time: 08h00  14h00
