Free State Local Government to provide housing for beneficiaries, 7 to

Housing development for Land Restitution beneficiaries

A total of 1164 beneficiaries of the Land Restitution Programme will benefit
from the Housing Development Programme which is a partnership between the Land
Claims Commission and the of Department of Local Government and Housing in the
Free State. The programme to be implemented by the Department of Local
Government and Housing, and funded by the Land Claims Commission for a total of
R30 078 698.40 for the entire programme of which these beneficiaries are part,
will provide housing for beneficiaries in four of the five districts in the
Free State.

The MEC for Local Government and Housing will address various claimants as
per programme below in ensuring the implementation of this programme.

The meetings are intended to outline a course of action regarding the
implementation of the project as agreed upon in the Memorandum of Understanding
signed between the Department of Local Government and Housing and the Land
Claims Commission.
