The Free State Department of Health will be hosting the provincial albinism
awareness event since it is celebrated annually in September. Free State
Department of Health identified a need to create awareness on the health
special needs of the albinos, especially the visual problems they experience.
Visual screening and referral for spectacles when needed will be done at the
event.
