Eastern Cape Department of Education to the Free State Department of
Education.

As part of the 365 days campaign on no violence against women and children,
the Acting MEC for Education in the Free State province, Mr Mxolisi Dukwana,
will receive the torch of peace from the MEC for Education in the Eastern Cape
province, Mr Mahlubandile Qwase, on the 6 March 2009.
The programme for the torch of peace is as follows:
* 6 March 2009 receive the torch in Bloemfontein, (Tsoseletso High School)

* 9 March 2009 take the torch to Edenburg in Xhariep
* 10 March 2009 take the torch to Welkom in Lejweleputswa
* 11 March 2009 take the torch to Kroonstad in Fezile Dabi
* 12 March 2009 take the torch to Qwaqwa in Thabo Mofutsanyana
* 14 March 2008 deliver the torch to the Western Cape Department of
Education.
Motheo district will receive the torch on behalf of the province therefore
the receiving ceremony will be part of the torch's visit to Motheo.
NB: Venues and times for other districts will be communicated in due
course.
