Pretoria: The South African Government wishes to assure the public that at
this time no South Africans were reported to have been on board the ill-fated
plane that crashed on Wednesday, 29 April 2009 in the Bandundu Province,
Democratic Republic of Congo.
In this regard the DRC aviation authorities have officially advised the
South African Embassy in Kinshasa that no South African were reported to have
been on board.
The South African Government extends its heartfelt condolences to the
families who lost their loved ones.
