Foreign Affairs on death of a South African national in Ugandan plane
crash

Pretoria: The South African government has noted media reports that one
South African citizen died in a plane crash that killed seven people in Uganda
on Monday, 9 March 2009.

In this regard the government, through its High Commission in Uganda, is in
the process of verifying whether indeed the deceased is a South Africa
national.

If this proves to be indeed the case the South African government will
render the normal consular services through the High Commission in Kampala.
