Community Safety Plan for Alexandra policing precinct

Gauteng MEC for Community Safety, Firoz Cachalia, will launch a Community
Safety Plan (CSP) for Alexandra policing precinct at San Kopano Hall in
Alexandra on Thursday, 12 February 2009.
The event will start at 17h00 and will, amongst others, be attended by local
councillors, leaders of various organisations as well as the management of the
South African Police Service (SAPS) in the area.
The CSP is aimed at identifying safety and security needs in the area, and
developing solutions that are relevant towards addressing these challenges. MEC
Cachalia will endorse the CSP which is part of the fight against crime in the
province under the auspices of the Take Charge Campaign. The Gauteng Provincial
Government (GPG) is serious about fighting crime in the province.
