The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism will host on Friday, 20
March 2009, the First Certification Ceremony for learners who have completed
the Environmental Education, Training and Development Practice Leanership
Programme, known as EETDP.
The learnership is registered as Level 5 National Qualification Framework
(NQF) Certificate with the Department of Labour and it provided learners with
an opportunity to:
* gain knowledge on environmental and sustainability education through
theoretical training under the guidance and supervision of our accredited
training provider
* undertake practical application of theoretical knowledge within their work
context
* gain meaningful work experience under a competent mentor within various
employers in the environmental sector, while working towards achieving a
qualification.
The graduation ceremony will among other things outline the statistics of
candidates who successfully completed the learnership, the statistics of
candidates who secured employment as well as the challenges that were faced
throughout the learnership.
The event will be held as follows:
