South Africa is hosting Global Environment Facility's (GEF) Fourth Biennial
International Waters Conference in Cape Town. About 350 delegates from over 100
countries are to attend.
The GEF's Fourth Biennial International Waters Conference will start from
Tuesday until Friday, 31 July to 3 August 2007, at the Cape Town International
Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference further seeks to highlight crucial international waters
challenges, celebrating achievements, highlighting successful scientific and
technical tools and financing international waters partnerships.

Two advocates, leaders and champions of international waters management
present inspiring visions (freshwater and marine) of common purpose regarding
shared management of trans-boundary waters and share their insights and

Marine Resources, Government of Namibia; Fritz Holzwarth Deputy-Director
General, Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear
