Aviation and tourism to be the main focus at this year's Annual
Tourism conference

22 October 2007

The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism will hold its sixth
annual Tourism conference on 29 October 2007 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The conference will be attended by various tourism stakeholders, government and
business.

The key objective of the conference is to provide a platform for dialogue
with public and private sectors to share information on the impact of aviation
on tourism. This year's theme "strengthening the Interdependence of Aviation
and Tourism" demonstrates and highlight the need for both industries to work
together to seek common solutions, especially as we move closer towards the
2010 Federation International Football Association (Fifa) Soccer World Cup.
