Municipal ward by-elections will take place in the Free State, Gauteng,
KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and North West on Wednesday, 28 March 2007, the
Electoral Commission said.
A total of seven wards will be contested. Voting will take place in 40
voting districts in the following wards:
* Free State: Ward 6 in Kopanong [Trompsburg] Municipality�FS162 with 2 329
registered voters.
* Gauteng: Ward 23 in Emfuleni [Vereeniging] Municipality�GT421 with 6 764
registered voters.
* KwaZulu-Natal: Ward 6 in uPhongolo [Pongola] Municipality�KZ262 with 3 467
registered voters and Ward 16 in uMhlathuze [Richards Bay] Municipality�KZ282
with 4 948.
* Mpumalanga: Ward 13 in Emalahleni [Witbank] Municipality�MP312 with 4 446
registered voters and Ward 21 in Bushbuckridge [Bushbuckridge]
Municipality�MP325 with 6 922.
* North West: Ward 3 in Matlosana [Klerksdorp] Municipality�NW403 with 7 866
registered voters.
