You are invited by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to a media
briefing on the submission of candidatesâ lists for the 2009 national and
provincial elections at Election House in Pretoria.
The Chief Electoral Officer, Adv Pansy Tlakula, will give feedback on those
parties that submitted their candidatesâ lists and deposits before the cut-off
time.
Political parties contesting the 2009 elections have until 17h00 today to
submit their lists of candidates for the national assembly and / or provincial
legislatures. The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has been receiving
lists throughout the day.
