Deputy Education Minister Enver Surty to join in the running of
"for the sake of our lives" campaign

Deputy Education Minister Enver Surty will join Western Cape MEC Cameron
Dugmore and athletes Elana Meyer and Johan Landsman on Tuesday, 6 March in the
"for the sake of our lives" campaign. The overall objectives of the campaign
are to promote running clubs at schools and link initiatives around school
safety, nutrition and community-school projects, i.e. a comprehensive and
sustainable process.

Around 30 runners per school run from school A to B (i.e. run on one day
only) as listed below. The runs depart each day at 7am and should not result in
loss of class time. The athletes are led by MEC Dugmore, Meyer and
Landsman.

The schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday, 5 March

Rylands to ID Mkize (Gugulethu)

Tuesday, 6 March

ID Mkize to Dr Nelson Mandela (New Crossroads)

Wednesday, 7 March

Dr Nelson Mandela to Zola (Khayelitsha)

Thursday, 8 March

Zola to Joe Slovo

Friday, 9 March

Joe Slovo to Bulumko
